{"id":1727,"date":"2012-10-23T12:58:01","date_gmt":"2012-10-23T12:58:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/?p=1727"},"modified":"2012-10-23T12:58:01","modified_gmt":"2012-10-23T12:58:01","slug":"foodie-travels-london-and-paris-vesuvio-paris","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/?p=1727","title":{"rendered":"Foodie Travels &#8211; London and Paris &#8211; Vesuvio, Paris"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/2012\/10\/foodie-travels-london-and-paris-vesuvio-paris\/sign-4\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1732\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1732\" title=\"sign\" src=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sign4-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Vesuvio<br \/>\n144 Champs-Elys\u00e9es<br \/>\n75008 Paris, France<br \/>\n01 43 59 68 69<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Yes, we ate Pizza in Paris!!!<\/p>\n<p>During some of on-your-own time in Paris we took a stroll down the Champs-Elys\u00e9es.\u00a0 Our ultimate destination was the Louis Vuitton store, but we took some time to walk up and down this high-end shopping area in Paris to take in the sights and sounds.<\/p>\n<p>Feeling a little hungry we looked for a small cafe.\u00a0 Unfortunately nothing on the Champs-Elys\u00e9es\u00a0in this area\u00a0looked inviting.\u00a0 Everything we came across seemed too fancy for what we were in the mood for and all seemed a little expensive.<\/p>\n<p>We looked down one\u00a0of the side streets and saw a sign for Vesuvio Pizza and thought we would give it a try.\u00a0 Pizza in Paris &#8211; what a wild idea!!!<\/p>\n<p>The place was small, even by Paris standards, and the tables were tight.\u00a0 It was incredibly busy the day we went and what struck me the most was the amount of people speaking French.\u00a0 It felt like this was a place where Parisians went for their pizza fix, and that made me feel like we made a good choice.<\/p>\n<p>We ordered two pizzas for the four of us.\u00a0 They were hot and fresh.\u00a0 While not\u00a0the &#8216;typical New York&#8217; style, they were delicious.\u00a0 The crust was think and a little doughy (which is not a bad thing) and the toppings were plentiful.<\/p>\n<p>One was mozzarella and prosciutto&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/2012\/10\/foodie-travels-london-and-paris-vesuvio-paris\/pizza1\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1733\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-1733\" title=\"pizza1\" src=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/pizza1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"465\" height=\"330\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8230;. the other was mozzarella, prosciutto and mushroom.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/2012\/10\/foodie-travels-london-and-paris-vesuvio-paris\/pizza2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1734\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-1734\" title=\"pizza2\" src=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/pizza2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"465\" height=\"330\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You might think we were crazy to try Pizza in Paris, we were sure glad we did!!!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0Vesuvio 144 Champs-Elys\u00e9es 75008 Paris, France 01 43 59 68 69 &nbsp; Yes, we ate Pizza in Paris!!!
