is the tag line of popular Galveston Island restaurant, Mosquito Cafe. \u00a0This casual counter service style caf\u00e9 is perfectly situated in a rather residential part of the island and offers customers a variety of fresh menu choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/2013\/07\/mosquito-cafe-galveston-texas\/interior-mosquito-cafe\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4146\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4146\" title=\"Interior Mosquito Cafe\" src=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Interior-Mosquito-Cafe.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"469\" height=\"154\" srcset=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Interior-Mosquito-Cafe.jpg 1000w, http:\/\/foodietales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Interior-Mosquito-Cafe-300x98.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 469px) 100vw, 469px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mosquito Caf\u00e9 serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and no matter who you ask on Galveston Island, everyone seems to have their favorite meal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Despite the fact that Galveston is well known for its seafood, this may be the only restaurant on the island without some sort of fried seafood on the menu \u00a0We arrived for dinner, and had the option of ordering off the lunch or dinner menu.\u00a0 The lunch menu includes soups, salads, sandwiches, and burgers among other things, all fresh and made to order.\u00a0 The dinner menu includes items such as fish tacos, meatloaf, and a variety of blackboard specials.<\/p>\n<p>Our meal began with an appetizer of walnut crusted brie served with toast and grapes.\u00a0 Bubbly, warm and delicious, it was enough to turn us into instant fans of the Mosquito Caf\u00e9, even those that thought they didn\u2019t like brie.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/2013\/07\/mosquito-cafe-galveston-texas\/baked-brie\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4145\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4145\" title=\"Baked Brie\" src=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Baked-Brie.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"469\" height=\"360\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For dinner, we ordered the Turkey Divinity Sandwich from the lunch menu.\u00a0 Roasted turkey with brie, bacon, grilled apples, red leaf lettuce and garlic herb mayo on a French baguette, was love at first bite.\u00a0 Although I was a little skeptical of grilled apples on a sandwich, they were the perfect tart compliment to the melted brie, turkey, and bacon.\u00a0 On the menu, sandwiches also come with a side.\u00a0 While there are several choices, the best has to be the Thai garlic noodles.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/2013\/07\/mosquito-cafe-galveston-texas\/sandwich-with-noodles\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4144\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4144\" title=\"Sandwich with noodles\" src=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Sandwich-with-noodles.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"469\" height=\"360\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>From the dinner menu, we ordered the Triple Cheese Mac with grilled chicken and veggie of the day. \u00a0The entree came highly recommended by our server and was farfalle pasta was covered in their famous cheese sauce, which is a blend of Tillamook cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses. \u00a0The recommendation was a success and the cheese sauce was fantastic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/2013\/07\/mosquito-cafe-galveston-texas\/mac-and-cheese\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4148\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4148\" title=\"Mac and Cheese\" src=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Mac-and-Cheese.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"469\" height=\"360\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The junior member of our group had the child&#8217;s pasta, which was also farfalle, with marinara and Parmesan cheese on the side. \u00a0Our occasionally picky eater enjoyed having the items on the side and being able to mix the pasta himself. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/2013\/07\/mosquito-cafe-galveston-texas\/kids-meal\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4147\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4147\" title=\"Kids Meal\" src=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Kids-Meal.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"469\" height=\"360\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Mosquito Cafe is located at 628 14th Street, in Galveston, Texas. \u00a0The cafe can be found on the web at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mosquitocafe.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.MosquitoCafe.com<\/a>\u00a0as well as on Facebook.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;
