{"id":443,"date":"2012-09-14T00:36:44","date_gmt":"2012-09-14T00:36:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/?p=443"},"modified":"2012-11-05T11:54:26","modified_gmt":"2012-11-05T11:54:26","slug":"making-meals-memorable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/?p=443","title":{"rendered":"Making Meals Memorable"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the mom of three young children, I learned quickly that I needed to make mealtime fun if I wanted to see clean plates!\u00a0 A few years ago, I discovered a website called \u201cMuffin Tin Monday.\u201d\u00a0 Intrigued, I looked into it and loved the idea \u2013 this mom was choosing a theme and designing her kids\u2019 lunches around it.\u00a0 And not only that, but she was serving their food in the cups of a muffin tin.\u00a0 It was visually appealing to the kids, as well as broken into more manageable portions.\u00a0 At the time, my boys were 4 and almost 2 (they\u2019re now 6 \u00bd, 4 \u00bd and have a 1-year old baby sister).\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I started out simple, but the boys loved it!\u00a0 Here\u2019s a picture of our very first meal (ignore the laundry in the background\u2026)\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/2012\/09\/making-meals-memorable\/first_themed_meal\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-446\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-446\" src=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/first_themed_meal.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"604\" height=\"453\" srcset=\"http:\/\/foodietales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/first_themed_meal.jpg 604w, http:\/\/foodietales.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/first_themed_meal-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 604px) 100vw, 604px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was nothing fancy, just Pop Tarts, cereal and French toast sticks with syrup.\u00a0 But, as you can tell from their faces, they loved it!
